keep in mind the need for comfort
instead of chairs for some of the big tables, have benches so that students can climb on them and use in different ways
think about removing shelves from under windows. Could have some window seats or some ledges with space under to store bins or side tables.
Above all, keeping in mind that learning is not separate from their lives.
